Recently a few users have complained that PadCAD lite asks them to upgrade after they have already paid for an upgrade. This can be frustrating but fortunately there is a easy solution. PadCAD needs to connect with our servers when you first launch to check and see if it is unlocked. Therefore you need to have an internet connection when you first launch. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
To fix this issue, all you have to do is this:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1) Launch PadCAD</div>
<div>
2) Press the home button to exit PadCAD, then double click the home button to raise the screen and reveal all your apps in memory</div>
<div>
3) MAKE SURE THE SCREEN IS RAISED AND ALL THE NORMAL ICONS ON THE SCREEN ARE GHOSTED AND THE ONLY ICONS YOU SEE ARE TOWARD THE BOTTOM OF THE SCREEN, OTHERWISE YOU MAY END UP DELETING PADCAD FROM YOUR IPAD</div>
<div>
4) Press and hold the PadCAD icon located toward the bottom of the screen until it starts to shake</div>
<div>
5) Press the red button toward the top left corner of the icon to reset it</div>
<div>
6) Re-launch PadCAD and see if your problem persists</div>
<div>
7) PadCAD connects with our servers on startup to check and see if you've upgraded your account. If so, your app is unlocked </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This is an issue that will be addressed in the next version of PadCAD. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thanks for your patience.</div>

In general, we've noticed that the drawings that were exported sometimes seem to end up in a user's spam folder for some reason. So, if you export a PadCAD drawing but it never gets to your email account, check your spam folder, it might just be there!Meher Ghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03318588610753757363noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783318671984200805.post-46534339979054309802013-01-25T22:15:00.000-08:002013-01-25T22:39:36.682-08:00PadCAD vs PadCAD LiteThere seems to be a bit of confusion out there as to the difference between PadCAD and PadCAD Lite. Basically, PadCAD Lite is meant to be an evaluation app. It is functionally identical to PadCAD, but it's free. The only difference is that PadCAD Lite does not export or save your drawings, otherwise it's identical to PadCAD.<br />
<br />
Once a user evaluates PadCAD Lite and decides she likes the app, she can either upgrade through the app or buy it directly through Apple's app store.Meher Ghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03318588610753757363noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783318671984200805.post-23752807481937222692013-01-25T21:25:00.003-08:002013-01-25T22:16:15.062-08:00PC & Mac versions coming soon!Dear PadCAD users,<br />

If you have an iPad 3, this update is particularly important to you. This version fixes a photo cropping bug that iPad 3 users were experiencing and it fixes an export bug with the DXF file format. The DXF bug affected all iPad users, not just iPad 3 users. All exported DXF files should now be usable with the latest Autocad application. If you run into problems please let us know.<br />As always, we welcome your feedback at <a href="mailto:support@plugworks.com">support@plugworks.com</a><br /><br />Meher Ghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03318588610753757363noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783318671984200805.post-70110372040795496792012-05-14T12:41:00.003-07:002012-05-14T12:41:30.326-07:00Version 1.5.1 outVersion 1.5.1 is now available on the iTunes store. I also added an Import button. You can now work on your padcad drawings if you have copied your padcad files to your PC or Mac. Simply go https://plugworks.com. Once PadCAD loads, click on the preferences icon. The panel will have a new button called "IMPORT". Click on it and you'll be prompted with a file browser. Choose your padcad file and it'll load your drawing.<br /><br /><div>
Happy drafting!<br /><br />Hope this helps in the interim while the new version of PacCAD gets approved by Apple.</div>

<br />
I've pulled the latest version of PadCAD (v 1.5) off the iTunes market due to the update bug I mentioned in my last post. Version 1.5.1, with the bug fixes, has been submitted and is being reviewed by Apple. It should hopefully be on the market by the end of the week.Meher Ghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03318588610753757363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783318671984200805.post-53064667197228051622012-05-04T13:35:00.000-07:002013-01-25T22:05:47.731-08:00Update BugIf you update PadCAD to version 1.5 there may be a small bug during the update process.<br />
Fortunately it's an easy fix.<br />Just delete and re-install the app and it should fix your problem.<br />You won't have to pay of the app again once you delete it.<br />Apple keeps a record of all the apps you've purchased and lets you re-intall them if you delete an app.<br />Again, sorry for this problem but I have no control over the update process. It's something that is taken care of by the iPad software.<br /><br />WARNING : Make sure you save any important drawings you may have onto your pc or mac via iTunes before you delete your app!<br />Meher Ghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03318588610753757363noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783318671984200805.post-12026143862705353042012-05-02T12:34:00.001-07:002012-05-02T12:34:16.379-07:00A new version of PadCAD (Version 1.5) will become available this Friday (May 5)<br />
